I Have Been Approved for a Loan: Now What?

In order to serve you best, please find the option below that best matches your current circumstance and read all relevant information provided before proceeding.

Option #1: I received an email, phone call or text from “LoanConnect” indicating that LoanConnect has approved me for a loan

LoanConnect connects our customers to verified Canadian lenders, but does not provide loans directly. A loan offer from LoanConnect is a scam being offered by a fraudulent organization. If you provided them any personal or banking information, money, gift cards, or bitcoin, please immediately contact your bank or credit union to let them know. They will advise you on the next steps to take to protect yourself.

  • A loan agreement FROM LoanConnect is a fraudulent document.
  • Any communication coming from @loanconnect.online is fraudulent – whether it is a loan offer, loan document, or just general communication – do not engage!
  • If you have poor credit and are offered a loan with a single digit interest rate (ie. 6%), this is a fraudulent offer.
  • LoanConnect will never fund your loan. We are not a lender, we do not have funds to disperse to customers, and as such as we will never ask for your banking information.

Option #2: I received an email, phone call, or text asking for money, bitcoin, or gift cards in return for a loan

Asking for money, bitcoin, gift cards, or any other form of loan “insurance” to receive your loan is not a legal lending practice. This is the practice of a fraudulent organization. If you have provided them any personal or banking information, money, bitcoin, or gift cards, contact your bank or credit union immediately to let them know. They will advise you on the next steps to protect yourself.

NEVER GIVE MONEY TO GET MONEY!

Option #3: I received an email, phone call, or text from a company other than LoanConnect indicating I have been approved for a loan

If you are certain the loan offer is legitimate, please contact the lender directly to arrange the next steps to get your funds. If you would like to verify that the offer is legitimate, please contact team@loanconnect.ca.
